MOUNT MAUNGANUI HOUSE
Upon the sale of their heritage black bungalow in Onehunga, our clients engaged our services for their new endeavor—a new-build situated by the ocean in Mount Maunganui.
The property, positioned one step back from the beach amidst established properties, necessitated a contemporary, low-maintenance residence conducive to abundant natural light and an open-plan living concept.
To address these requirements, we orchestrated a minor excavation to accommodate an ample garage suitable for both parking and the storage of kayaks and bicycles.
Furthermore, we navigated the height-to-boundary constraints by implementing a gable roof enveloped in James Hardie and cedar vertical cladding. Internally, the entrance gives way to an expansive open-plan configuration encompassing the living, kitchen, and dining realms, complemented by expansive stacking doors that unfold onto the patio and garden.
Our clients have settled into their new beach lifestyle in their beloved new home.
